A second order to Dominidesign and the same great experience
My second order was for a floor light and a table light by Michele Toledo. Brilliant design, much better than some similar I got from Ikea. The delivery went flawlessly and they fit perfectly in my living room. - Elisabeth Clark
Good, but would have liked more information about customs duties, VAT and tax.
Dealing with the company regarding ordering and payment was straightforward, no problems with that at all. The table was well packed and looks exactly as I expected. I’m a little dubious about the glass top getting pushed off the base as there is nothing to hold it firmly in place and it’s very heavy. It slides around if it’s pushed with any force and it can become destabilised on the base and slide off. I really like the table though. Due to the UK’s exit from the EU, it was classed as importing and I had to pay more than the actual cost of the table in fees (having already paid almost the price of the table for shipping and handling to DominiDesign) to get it released from customs using a 3rd party broker. It worked out as a very expensive table. I would have liked to have seen more prominent information/warning that non-EU countries can incurr huge costs and have to go through a lot of admin to eventually take delivery of their item. I hadn’t any experience of this process previously and when ordering online now, I try to buy from the UK to avoid it. I would recommend you, but with a strong warning of higher costs/customs clearance etc.
